Accessibility Statement

Our Commitment to Accessibility

The Israel Golf Association views people with disabilities as an integral part of the golf community, and works to make this website accessible, usable and available to the general public, including people who use assistive technologies. This page sets out the accessibility measures implemented on the site, the limitations we are aware of, and how to contact us on the subject.

Level of Accessibility

The site was designed and built in line with Israeli Standard 5568, which is based on the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, at conformance level AA.

[To be completed by the Association: the date of the professional accessibility audit and the name of the certified accessibility consultant who carried it out. Until a full professional audit has been performed, this statement should not assert full conformance with the standard.]

Accessibility Measures Implemented

A dedicated accessibility toolbar is available on every page of the site, allowing any visitor to adapt the display to their needs.

Additional measures have been implemented in the structure and code of the site: correct semantic structure with defined landmark regions; a “skip to main content” link that appears during keyboard navigation; a visible, high-contrast focus indicator; full keyboard navigation, including menus and forms; a correct heading hierarchy on every page; color contrast meeting level AA requirements; alternative text for meaningful images; and support for zooming without loss of content or functionality.

Forms on the site include clear labels for every field, required-field marking, and error messages that identify the missing field and return the user to it — so a submission can be completed without relying on visual cues alone.

The site is served in Hebrew with right-to-left reading order and a correct language declaration, allowing screen readers to pronounce the content properly.

How to Use the Accessibility Toolbar

An accessibility toolbar is available on every page of the site, opened by clicking the “Accessibility” button at the bottom-left of the screen. It can also be reached by keyboard navigation.

The toolbar allows, among other things: quick profiles (low vision, dyslexia-friendly, ADHD-friendly, epilepsy-safe); changes to contrast and color scheme, including dark mode, inverted colors and yellow-black combinations; adjustment of font size, line height, letter spacing and word spacing; switching to a dyslexia-friendly font; enlarging the cursor; highlighting keyboard focus; highlighting links and headings; pausing animations; a reading guide and reading mask; and hiding images.

Your chosen preferences are saved in your browser and applied automatically on your next visit. All adjustments can be cleared with the “Reset All” button.

Browsers and Devices Tested

[To be completed by the Association: the browsers, versions and devices on which accessibility testing was carried out — for example Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge in their current versions, on desktop and mobile devices.]

Known Limitations

Despite our efforts to make the entire site accessible, there may be parts or content that are not yet fully accessible. Those known to us are: images in galleries marked as decorative, which do not carry a full text description; downloadable files and content from external sources, which are not fully under our control; and regularly updated content, which may contain gaps until corrected.

We regard accessibility as an ongoing process and work continuously to improve it. If you encounter a problem, we would be glad to hear about it and will act to correct it as soon as possible.

Accessibility Enquiries

[To be completed by the Association: the name of the accessibility coordinator, a telephone number and a dedicated email address. Accessibility coordinator details are an explicit requirement of the regulations.]

You are welcome to contact us on any matter relating to the accessibility of this site — to report a problem, request information in an alternative format, or suggest an improvement — by email at: info@israelgolffed.org

To help us handle your enquiry quickly, please include the address of the page where you encountered the problem, the browser and device you were using, and a short description of the issue.

[To be completed by the Association: the date this statement was last updated. The date should be updated whenever there is a material change to the site or to its accessibility measures.]
