About the Association

The Israel Golf Association is a non‑profit organization that serves as the official governing body of golf in Israel. It works to promote, develop, and expand access to the game nationwide and internationally.
The Association unites Israel’s golfers and golf clubs, and works to strengthen the status of golf as a professional, educational, community, and rehabilitative sport, with a long‑term vision of creating a broad and meaningful foundation for the game in Israel.
Vision of the Israel Golf Association
The Association’s vision is built on three central pillars:
1. Developing golf infrastructure and facilities in Israel
The Association works to promote the establishment of new golf facilities across the country, in cooperation with government bodies, local authorities, private developers, and international organizations.
The goal is to make the game accessible to wider audiences and to create a tourism, economic, and athletic growth engine for Israel.
As part of this vision, the Association aims to make golf a family‑friendly, social, and widely accessible experience by promoting innovative and modern golf facilities — including advanced golf simulators, interactive training areas, experiential mini‑golf, and emerging global golf technologies.
The objective is to expose new populations to the sport, encourage shared activity among families and communities, and integrate golf into Israel’s leisure and sports culture.
2. Golf in the Israeli education system
The Association leads the national “Golf for Education” program — an initiative to introduce golf into Israel’s school system, in collaboration with The R&A and adapted specifically to Israeli society.
The program integrates values such as discipline, respect, personal responsibility, focus, perseverance, and social conduct, alongside innovative educational sports activities in schools and communities across the country.
3. Rehabilitation through golf
The Association promotes rehabilitation through golf for IDF wounded soldiers and trauma survivors, recognizing the game’s unique ability to support physical and emotional recovery.
Research and global experience — in cooperation with leading international rehabilitation‑through‑golf organizations — demonstrate the sport’s contribution to individuals coping with limb injuries, complex wounds, and PTSD, whether as players, instructors, professionals, or as part of the broader golf industry.
