Impressive achievements for the Israeli golfers at the Bulgarian Open Senior Championship, held this week at the BlackSeaRama Golf Club in Bulgaria, with players from 15 different European countries participating.

Itamar Cohen, Israel’s national and Maccabiah golf champion and a current member of the Israeli national team, won first place in the senior competition after an outstanding performance, finishing 10 strokes ahead of the runner‑up.
This coming July, Itamar Cohen will compete in the Maccabiah Games in Israel, marking his first appearance in the senior category, while his son, Itay Cohen, will compete in the open category.
Shai Oved recorded another notable achievement by winning first place in the 60+ Net category.
In the women’s division, Limor Sidi - a veteran golfer and former Israeli champion - finished in second place in the women’s open competition, outperforming several experienced European golfers.
The Israeli delegation was represented by nine players, and their accomplishments mark another step forward in the Israel Golf Association’s efforts to promote competitive golf in the country.
Golf is an Olympic sport, and the Association hopes that in the upcoming Olympic Games, Laetitia Beck - currently ranked around 300th in the world — will represent Israel.
